Answer Questions

Marginal losses are insidious. They can strip wellbeing and quality of life, to the point where we wake up and wonder what happened.

We’ll explore:

  • the concept of marginal losses, and why they can be so devastating
  • some examples on micro and macro scales
  • understanding marginal losses as part of a big picture
  • why recovering from accumulated marginal losses can feel so difficult
  • interrupting the accumulation of marginal losses by identifying them
  1. A helpful way to describe and discuss a process that often goes unnoticed (even though many of us are living through it right now).
  2. Why certain forms of change can result in ‘negative equity’, and the knock-on effect on progress.
  3. A memorable metaphor that many clients will readily associate with, providing a conversational and conceptual shortcut to support change.
