Haesun Moon, Ph.D., is a communication scientist, an educator, and the author of Coaching A to Z: The Extraordinary Use of Ordinary Words and several collaborative books, including Thriving Women, Thriving World, and Foundations of Brief Coaching, a short handbook for professional coaches.
Haesun received her Ph.D. in Adult Education and Community Development from the University of Toronto. She cares about people experiencing better conversations at home and at work – and she does that by training, coaching, and consulting. She believes that conversations can change the world, and she defines this process as hosting dialogic conditions in which people participate to imagineer and perform their preferred change.
Her academic and professional research in coaching dialogues and pedagogy from the University of Toronto led to the development of a simple coaching model, Dialogic Orientation Quadrant (DOQ). The DOQ has transformed the way people coach and learn to coach worldwide. Haesun teaches Brief Coaching at the University of Toronto and serves as Executive Director at the Canadian Centre for Brief Coaching and Principal at The Human Learning Institute. When not writing, Haesun enjoys filmmaking, carpentry, and golf. Haesun is a lover of early mornings, naps, good coffee, and fine pens with fine nibs.
Join Dr. Haesun Moon for an interactive and practice-based workshop on the DOQ model for team coaching. Discover how to generate a calibrated sense of purpose, progress, and priorities while emphasizing your team’s resources, hopes, and strategies. As a coach, consultant, or leader, learn how to elevate your team’s culture and take them from “meh” to “heck yeah!” Walk away with practical tips and ideas that you can immediately implement in your practice. Don’t settle for anything less than evidence-based strategies for team coaching!
This workshop will provide you with practical and evidence-based interventions that will enhance your team coaching practice. We will discuss the application of the DOQ model in complex coaching scenarios, such as working with families, cross-functional teams, and inter-organizational partnerships. You will learn how to calibrate multiple voices to build collective elasticity as you navigate power dynamics, uncomfortable topics, and the undertone of each team’s unique subculture. In-depth examples and applications of multiple scales, team scales, and relational assessments will be introduced.
