Dan Newby

Dan’s interest in the commonalities and differences among people began when his parents moved him and his four siblings to Congo and what was Northern Rhodesia in 1960.
It has always been a point of fascination that, while people everywhere want more than anything a satisfying life, they’ve each found their own unique interpretation of what that means and how to achieve it.
Hence his deep interest in emotions as something every human being is endowed with yet has often overlooked as a source of learning, knowledge, and wisdom.
Dan works with audiences, coachees, and students from disciplines ranging from coaching to education to management and executive leadership.

His aim – whether coaching or teaching – is to help his clients begin to see their emotions as an unopened gift and one that they can learn to use to live and lead more wisely.
He has over twenty years of experience coaching, has managed and led organizations, is the author of four books on emotions and emotional literacy, and is the founder of the School of Emotions. He lives in Spain with his wife and co-author Lucy Nunez.
