The Practicum sessions are structured to blend theoretical learning with practical application, providing a comprehensive and interactive experience. At the beginning of the course, you will be asked to select and join one of the Practicum Groups, depending on which time suits you the most. Each group is made up of 25 participants. As part of your first Practicum session, you will be randomly broken into Learning Groups. This will be your pod for the rest of the course.
It’s important to remain with your selected Practicum Group. This consistency allows the group to build a strong, collaborative learning environment, as activities and discussions are specifically tailored to the collective journey of the group. Staying together helps deepen insights and ensures a more cohesive and enriching experience for everyone.
Prior to each session, you will receive an activity guide with an agenda – starting with an introduction covering the theoretical background of the framework in focus, followed by planned exercises, and concluding with a plenary session for sharing insights and reflections. These sessions are designed to be interactive, fostering a deep engagement with the material and peers, ensuring that participants not only learn the concepts but also apply them effectively in their team coaching endeavors.

If you miss a Practicum, there is a Missed Practicum process to make up for your attendance. Note this can only be used once toward meeting your graduation requirements.
Graduates who fulfill the graduation requirements of the Team Development Essential course will be awarded the Certified in Team Development Essentials designation.
You don’t need to do anything to uphold your designation. Once you’ve earned it by completing the course and meeting the graduation requirements, your designation is yours to keep without the need for renewal or additional actions.
Yes! The Team Development Essential course is accredited by the International Coaching Federation (ICF) with a Continuing Coach Education (CCE) accreditation, getting you 26 Continuing Coach Education (CCE) Units.
CCE Units can be used towards renewing one of ICF’s individual credentials – ACC, PCC or MCC. Please visit the ICF website to learn more about the individual accreditation process: coachingfederation.org/credentials-and-standards/renew-credential.
Units become eligible upon meeting the minimum graduation requirements.
Yes! The Team Development Essential course is accredited by the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC) with the EMCC Global Quality Award (EQA) accreditation, granting EMCC members a total of 26 Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Hours. These can be used towards renewing one of the EMCC’s individual credentials – Foundation, Practitioner or Senior Practitioner.
In addition, participants who don’t possess an individual credential and complete the graduation requirements will receive a recommendation for the EMCC Global Individual Accreditation (EIA) at the Foundation Level, and will be contacted by the EMCC at the end of the course, in case they wish to pursue one.
