Biography

Salma Shah is passionate about championing diversity, social mobility, and inclusion in the coaching profession. She is the founder and creator of Mastering Your Power Coach Training – an ICF certified pioneering coach training framework designed with the golden thread of Inclusion, Belonging, Equity, and Diversity. 

Her approach is humanitarian and she is on a mission to make coaching accessible to all. She is a strong advocate for increasing the number of coaches and coach supervisors from under-represented minority groups, especially in organizations. Her philosophy and training program is inclusive and open to all – both aspiring coaches and experienced coaches who are interested in coaching through a wider lens of inclusion, belonging, and equity. 

She is an in-demand executive coach, coach trainer, and facilitator. Supported by her team at Mastering Your Power she has worked with clients including; Co-op, British Transport Police, Metropolitan Police, Co-op, Barclays, O2, Sutton and Kingston Council, and Pearson.

She is also certified in Family Constellation Therapy, Team Coaching, Hofstede Cross-Cultural training, NLP, and several psychometric tools including Hogan.

Salma is writing a book on Coaching with a wider lens on inclusion, belonging, and equity.

She is a regular contributor to Psychologies Magazine and has also been published in The Guardian, Independent, and The Telegraph. She is also the host of the Coaching Exchange Podcast where she interviews thought leaders, disruptors, and the out of the box thinkers who want to make an impact.

Prior to starting her coaching and training business, she had gained over 15 years of leadership, transformation, and commercial experience within the Information Technology and Digital industry. Working with the UK’s largest FTSE100 clients to understand their strategic objectives, financial management, and human relationship management challenges, determine appropriate solutions (both business and technology), and map those solutions to roadmaps for execution.

Salma has traveled globally delivering programs for major international organizations including Oracle, Lexmark, Ernst, and Young (Kuwait), O2, Reuters, HP, and Microsoft.
