Psychological Safety is a big buzzword in management training lately and demands on managers to create an environment in which people thrive are higher than ever. In this session, Madeleine proposes that creating a psychologically safe environment is a shared responsibility – that it requires employees to meet their manager halfway by:

  •   Understanding themselves
  •   Asking for what they need
  •   Pressing for clarity on goals and expectations

Introducing the new BRAIN model for harnessing the latest neuroscience research, Madeleine will share the ways a coach can help their clients to advocate for themselves so they can bring their best to work.

  1. The BRAIN model – a way to understand how the latest social neuroscience research can support the choices managers and individual contributors at work.
  2. Creating Psychological Safety is a shared responsibility.
  3. Managers can help individual contributors be responsible for getting their needs met.
