Ellen Van Oosten

Ellen B. Van Oosten, Ph.D., holds pivotal roles as Professor of Organizational Behavior and Faculty Director of Executive Education at the Case Weatherhead School of Management, where she’s also the Director of the Coaching Research Lab, a venture founded in 2014 to foster coaching research collaboration. Her research delves into sustainable personal growth through coaching and development, spanning leadership coaching, coaching relationships, emotional intelligence, positive work relationships, and women’s leadership in STEM. A certified leadership coach with 29 years of experience, she oversees the Weatherhead School’s coaching certification programs. Van Oosten, an esteemed author of numerous articles and co-author of “Helping People Change: Coaching with Compassion for Lifelong Learning and Growth,” is renowned for her contributions to understanding and implementing compassionate coaching practices.
