Bethanie Hansen, DMA, NBH-HWC, PCC, is professor and Interim Associate Dean at American Public University (APUS), an entirely online university that serves “those who serve,” many of whom are adult learners. Through her work at APUS, Bethanie began working with high-achieving leaders, coaches, and educators during periods of change and transition.
Bethanie is also a certified life, career, and executive wellbeing coach, author, and podcast host. In her coaching practice, she continues to work with leaders and teachers navigating change, to help them feel seen, known, and loved for who they are and what they contribute. Her approach is to give clients the tools, strategies, and habits needed to create a life and work that they love.
Bethanie has 26 years of experience in teaching, coaching, and leadership in various settings, from K-12 to higher education. She holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Brigham Young University, a Master of Arts and Letters from Southern Oregon University, and a Doctor of Music Arts degree from Boston University. Her coach credentials include Certified Professional Coach (CPC), Graduate Certificate in Executive Coaching (APUS), Certified Positive Psychology-based Health & Wellbeing Coach (CEC), ICF Professional Certified Coach (PCC), and the National Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC) credential.
