How to Stress-test Assumptions

Session Description:

In the Q&A portion of the session, coaches will get a chance to clarify anything still unclear from the course. In the content part of the session, coaches will learn about the difference between facts and assumptions, and gain an understanding of how weak assumptions can undermine plans and strategies. They will learn how to identify stated and unstated assumptions, how to rank assumptions based on the risk they pose to the strategy or plan, and finally a powerful red teaming technique for identifying and challenging assumptions. Besides the Assumptions Challenge tool, coaches will also learn the Triple-filter method used for prioritizing red teaming analysis. The demonstration part will bring forward another highly experienced coach, trained in using the RTT tools, to demonstrate the applicability and integration of the tools into an individual coaching session.

        5. Will there be video/audio recordings of the sessions in case I can’t attend?

        Yes, all Module and Q&A sessions are recorded and available within 48 hours, accessible in the Learning Center. Practicum sessions, however, are not recorded.

        6. How much time do I need to build into my calendar for the course?

        Expect to invest 4-5 hours per week in Red Team Coaching, totaling 23 hours across 8 weeks. These sessions include content, practicums, and Q&A sessions, making it ideal for coaches seeking comprehensive skill development.

        7. What are Practicum sessions?

        In Practicum sessions, you’ll apply tools learned in weekly modules, practice coaching, and receive peer feedback in small learning groups, fostering a community of support and learning.

        8. What are the graduation requirements?

        To graduate and earn the Red Team Coaching Practitioner designation, you must:

        • Complete all Pre-work and Module Sessions
        • Attend a minimum 3 out of 4 Practicum sessions
        • Pass the Final Assessment with 100% accuracy
        9. Is there a designation I will obtain upon completing the graduation requirements?

        Graduates of Red Team Coaching will receive the Red Team Coaching Practitioner title.

        10. Do I need to do anything to uphold my designation?

        You don’t need to do anything to uphold your designation. Once you’ve earned it by completing the course and meeting the graduation requirements, your designation is yours to keep without the need for renewal or additional actions.

        11. Is the course accredited by the International Coaching Federation (ICF)?

        Yes, Red Team Coaching is accredited by the International Coaching Federation (ICF), awarding 23 Continuing Coach Education (CCE) units for Red Team Coaching.

        12. Is the course accredited by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM)?

        Yes! The Red Team Coaching course is accredited by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), you will recieve 24.5 Professional Development Credits (PDCs).
